I was born in 1946 and raised in Southern California. I am an art major and a self-taught cartoonist. I always dreamed of becoming an artist and striking out on my own. Back in 1974, I was full of energy and restless while working as an illustrator and Art Director. One day, I decided to leave my job to pursue what I love doing best, making people laugh at themselves. And over these years, I have done that by drawing and painting everyday situations with a humorous slant.
I learned about the funnier side of life in our high-tech, fast-paced world. I believe I am lucky to have met people who have reassured me that good, clean, old-fashioned humor never goes out of style. Keep scrolling to learn more about Robert Marble Artwork.
My wife Marie and I were married in 1977. From the very beginning, we worked together from my studio in our home to present my artwork through exhibits, festivals, and private showings. We have two sons, and they are now pursuing their own careers after graduating from college. We have lived in Newport Beach, California, since 1980.
I continue to express my humorous philosophy through painting and experimenting with various shapes, colors and techniques. My latest works try to define the human condition by depicting wildlife with titles that speak to our positive side. With the help and support of our customer’s wonderful suggestions, I constantly try to create new work and always look for original ideas.
My acrylic paintings, limited edition lithographs, and giclées are displayed in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad. So as you look through the website, we hope you will enjoy the humor, and maybe, just maybe, you will see somebody you know…
All of the characters seen on this website are my own creation. A little redbird appears in each painting as my trademark. The giclées sold through this website are printed by me to ensure that all reproductions are of superior quality.
